The Crescent Veil

Inspired by the dynamic structural expressions of vaulting, the design centers on a primary parabolic timber arch engineered to handle complex, asymmetrical loads through a secondary structural arch layer. The building’s overarching identity is defined by five parallel timber vaults resting atop a massive, grounded reinforced concrete plinth—a heavy base that anchors the structure into the terrain while acting as a retaining wall to absorb outward thrust forces.
